The Importance of Small Businesses in the World Economy

Polaris- Blog 5Former President Bill Clinton, Olympic Gold Medalist and NBA Champion Kobe Bryant, Starbucks Coffee Company chairman & CEO Howard Schultz, will address thousands of online entrepreneurs from across China and around the world gathered for the third APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) SME Summit on September 11-12 in Hangzhou, China.    The expected attendance will be 3,000 from over 20 countries.    The theme is “small is beautiful” which highlights the importance of small businesses in the world economy.

  2. I love this. You know, there was a time when ALL business was small business–when EVERYONE worked for themselves. It wasn’t until the Industrial Revolution that the concept of “employer” even came about. It’s amazing how it only took a couple hundred years for people to be completely brainwashed into thinking a job was the best and only way to go.

    Kudos to everyone who is helping us get back control of our own lives.
